What is i-Size?
i-Size is a new type of approval that introduces significant changes in the safety of car seats. This is all due to analyses of traffic incidents, the results of which indicated the need to take into account new factors not previously considered..
First of all, tests were introduced to simulate side crashes, which, along with frontal crashes, are among the most common types of car accidents.

Also the most advanced dummy - the Q-type - was used, which better replicates a child's body. Thanks to the greater number of sensors with which the dummy has been equipped, the results obtained from the crash tests are much more accurate, which has made it possible to increase the safety of the seats.
Accordingly, a number of modifications have been made to the new generation of seats. The new selection criterion becomes the height and not, as it was before, the weight of the child. This allows us to better match a particular seat to the individual needs of our little one.
i-Size also means innovations in the construction of the seats themselves – from now on they will be equipped with advanced side protection and reinforced headrests. Thus, the protection of the most sensitive points - the child's head and neck – will increase, especially during side impacts. In order to guarantee the full safety of our kids, car seats made according to the new approval extend the period of rear-facing installation, which, according to crash tests, is considered the safest way to travel. In addition to the special marking, you'll also recognize i-Size car seats by the distinctive green guides that help you fasten the seat belts correctly.
